Meet Dr. Whitney Jenerette

Whitney Jenerette, PhD, LPC…

Dr. Whitney Jenerette is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the owner and clinical director of The Mental Drive of Detroit, LLC. As a certified trauma-focused clinician, mental health counselor, advocate, supervisor, professor, and consultant, she is aware of the stigmas and challenges associated with receiving treatment for mental health disorders. In addition to counseling children, adults, couples, and facilitating groups. Dr. Jenerette has also spoken on mental health panels and presented at mental health workshops and conferences.

Dr. Jenerette has over 1o years of counseling experience and prides herself in advocating for mental health in Detroit by collaborating with organizations and volunteering. Dr. Jenerette’s research interests includes trauma-informed care in BIPOC communities and experiences of BIPOC professionals.
